ETRICA — Web Design & E-Commerce for Sustainable Energy Solutions
ETRICA helps homes and businesses switch to cleaner energy: solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps and EV chargers. Their website was a three-page brochure. Their products cost thousands of euros and need explaining before anyone buys. That gap was the project.

From brochure site to digital platform
The brief said “redesign the website”. The real problem was different: visitors arrived without knowing what they needed. Panels, a battery, a heat pump, a charger, or some combination? A site that doesn’t answer that question can’t sell anything, however good it looks.
So the goal became a platform that educates first and converts second: more than 30 pages covering every service, a guides and FAQ section, a guided quote flow, dedicated pages for subsidies and financing, and a fully integrated online store with products from Tesla, Wallbox, Huawei and Daikin.
Colour has a job to do. A deep navy palette carries the weight: reliability, the feeling that an installer knows what they’re doing. Green is reserved for action, so buttons and paths to a quote read instantly. Yellow marks the hotspots on real photography. Clean layouts and real installations, not stock renders, keep the whole thing grounded.

Mobile-first, one system
The end customer searches from a phone, so every page was designed mobile-first and then scaled up. The same components, grid and type scale run from desktop to phone: service pages, guides and the store keep the same hierarchy at every size.
That system is also what made 30+ pages possible in five phases: concept and look & feel, UI for the main pages, e-commerce, responsive, and a navigable prototype with handoff documentation for development.

The homepage is a hub, not a cover
Instead of a hero and a list of services, the homepage asks a simple question: what’s your situation? Home, business, electric car. From there it routes you to the right solution, with guides before prices. The interactive hero uses product hotspots on a real installation so people recognise the pieces before they know their names.
Below it, the page builds trust in the order a sceptical buyer needs it: how it works, the brands installed, the installation process step by step, Google reviews (4.9), and a clear way to ask for a quote at every stage.
Each service, solar, EV charging, storage and heat pumps, gets a dedicated page with tailored content, featured products and two exits: request a quote or buy directly. Nothing is more than one click from an action, and nothing pushes the action before the explanation.
Asking for the price of a 10,000-euro installation is a barrier. We replaced the contact form with a guided quote: pick your solution, answer a few steps, get a specialist reply. It lowers the effort for the visitor and sends ETRICA a request they can actually act on.

Trust beyond the products
ETRICA needed to be believed, not just found. The About section states the company’s values plainly: ethics, transparency, innovation, sustainability. Dedicated pages on government subsidies and financing help people navigate incentives that are confusing by nature. The contact experience closes the loop with a clean, structured form.

An integrated online store
The store is part of the same system, not a bolt-on. Product pages carry detailed specs, an installation guide, FAQs and shipping information, so browsing and buying happen in the same place. The catalogue filters by category, brand and product type.

One system, every screen
The previous site had no structure, no hierarchy and no path for the user. The new one has a system, consistent patterns and a store. Same company, different capacity to sell.
What I took from it: in technical sectors the website has to teach before it sells. The guides aren’t filler; they’re the funnel. Every decision above, from the hub homepage to the guided quote, comes from that.
